How Can I Help?

There are many ways that you can help the PTO. Some being monetary support, but the most meaningful and lasting is volunteering to help at any of the events at the school.

-Personal Attendance

Every day tickets are being issued to kids that are caught having exceptionally good behavior. Not only at school, but also on the bus. In order to help encourage their exemplary behavior, they get to turn in 10 tickets for a prize at the end of each month. We cycle through cotton candy, popcorn, or snocones, chip and dip social, and a few other special events. If you can help serve, or even come watch the children enjoy their treat, you are encouraged to come. It will show them that you think that awesome behavior is important to you too, plus it's a lot of fun!

The next celebration will be listed on the calendar. If you wish to help, we ask that you come at 11:00am. Handing out the treats will be right after the last lunch period of the day.

Nature's Vision Sales

PTO has decided to sell items from this catalog for the past few years, changing the time of year that it was available to our families. This school year we earned a total of $1087.85 through sales from this company. They also provide us with samples of their produsts for parents to get the opportunity to see the quality of goods before they purchase items. We are able to keep these items free of charge and use them as part of our attendance raffle we have at every PTO meeting.

-Clip, Collect, or Snap

Box Tops for Education

Box Tops are all the rage for manufacturers these days, on products ranging from binders, to green beans, and yes, even at times it can be found on wrappers of toilet paper! Since this is a major contribution that children get to help with, we have chosen to provide a treasure box of sorts for those children who turn in at least 10 tops. Every box top adds up even though alone it is just worth $0.10, so turn them in often and collect them year round.

Labels for Education

Labels for Education keep finding their way in with our Boxtops for Education. Our coordinator for Boxtops decided that since these are being turned in for the benefit of our school, that she would become the coordinator for these as well. So continue clipping anything you may find and turn them in whenever you have a chance. You never know what your contribution could help add up to!

Shoparoo App

Shoparoo is a new App for smart phones and iPods. The app collects images of your receipts and turns them into points for your school. At the end of the school year shoparoo cuts a check directly for our school depending on the points that were received. It dotes that it's a great addition to boxtops for education. Let's try it out and see if it truly is!
